"Sister Sister" Open Mic Event — March 1st, 2019
Sister Sister is a women’s exclusive open mic and art showcase, taking place Friday, March 1st 2019 from 6:30-10:30pm at Margin of Eras Gallery.
"The Feeling of Being Watched" — Screening February 15th, presented by Way Past Kennedy Road
When journalist Assia Boundaoui investigates rumours of surveillance in her Arab-American neighbourhood in Chicago, she uncovers one of the largest FBI terrorism probes conducted before 9/11 and reveals its enduring impact on the community. Assia Boundaoui is an Algerian-American journalist and filmmaker based in Chicago. Way Past Kennedy Road presents a FREE screening of "The Feeling of Being Watched" at HABIBIZ, a group exhibition.

By blurring the lines between the real, virtual, and imagined, please wait...Loading Falasteen by Shatha Al-Husseini displays works that mirror Palestinian ingenuity in resistance, and subvert the Israeli regime's ongoing and uncanny violence upon Palestine’s lives and land. please wait...Loading Falasteen opens January 10th, 2019 from 7-10pm, and runs from January 11th – January 26th at the Margin of Eras Gallery.
Black Artists Union Presents: Unity Live Painting Event — November 22nd from 7-9pm
This Thursday, November 22nd from 7-9pm, the Margin of Eras Gallery invites to you witness a live painting activation by members of the Black Artists’ Union, and to engage in conversation about the the importance of work in representing the art and ideas of contemporary Black creators.

“Burnt Umber" showcases the works of Black Artists Union members, and collectively, addresses the marginalization of Black North American communities, through the unification of Black artists. “Burnt Umber” opens November 15th at the Margin of Eras Gallery, running from November 16th to December 1st.
"ARE YOU OK?" — Zine Launch by Story Reno Studio
ARE YOU OK? is the first ever zine project by wordsmiths in the Story Reno Studio project — the zine launches November 8th at the Margin of Eras Gallery (1684 Queen St W) from 7-10pm. “ARE YOU OK?” explores themes of isolation, mental health, addiction, queer identity, self-destruction and self discovery… and the overall feeling of not being ok. Come through for incredible readings, chill vibes, and our open mic.
Announcing HABITAT 2019: a production and performance music residency
HABITAT 2019 is a production and performance residency for new-generation artists (15-29 years old) who live and work on the margins in Toronto. We want to work with you to fully create your own HABITAT: an immersive visual and sonic environment that represents not only the origins of your music, but you, as a human being.
Throughout this project you will work closely with Toronto artist Matthew Progress, lead producer of the HABITAT residency program. Local arts professionals will provide support, mentorship, and collaboration in the creation of video and visual art installations — final projects will be performed and exhibited at CUE's Margin of Eras Gallery in 2019.

"Passageways" — a solo show by Eli Howey, opening October 18th
Open from October 18th to November 3rd at the MOEG, “Passageways” by Eli Howey depicts the layered experience of embodiment, decorating figures with their surroundings to hint at their abilities and strangeness. The body is emphasized as an energetic mediator; a passageway between tangible and non-tangible spaces, one that can manifests ideas, movements, thoughts, memories and other vibrations.

The Margin of Eras Gallery is seeking exhibition proposals from new-generation artists who live and work on the margins in Toronto — applications are due November 7th, 2018! We’ll also be hosting drop-in hours for anyone who wants support with their application.

This solo exhibition of new works by amber williams-king explores themes of intimacy, spirituality, liberation and emergence through the use of textiles, film and sculpture.

The MOEG is excited to present the final edition of the Sandbox Sessions—a monthly drop-in for new-generation writers living and working on the margins. Our final edition of Sandbox will feature guest mentor Cherie Dimaline, Canadian Métis author of the 2017 Governor General award-winning novel "The Marrow Thieves".

Reclaiming Our Mother Tongues: A Multilingual Poetry Workshop
Reclaiming Our Mother Tongues: A Multilingual Poetry Workshop is a three hour poetry workshop open to anyone in Toronto/GTA whose mother tongue is not English. Priority will be given to BIPOC new-generation artists (15-29 years old) who experience social, cultural, and economic marginalization. Especially welcome are women of colour, immigrants, refugees, and second generation Canadians.
