"The Feeling of Being Watched" — Screening February 15th, presented by Way Past Kennedy Road

Way Past Kennedy Road presents a FREE screening of "The Feeling of Being Watched" at HABIBIZ, a group exhibition running from February 8th to 23rd at the Margin of Eras Gallery.

When journalist Assia Boundaoui investigates rumours of surveillance in her Arab-American neighbourhood in Chicago, she uncovers one of the largest FBI terrorism probes conducted before 9/11 and reveals its enduring impact on the community. Assia Boundaoui is an Algerian-American journalist and filmmaker based in Chicago.

Please arrive at 6:00PM to enjoy free refreshments and to secure a seat (available on a first come first serve basis), with the film beginning promptly at 6:20PM.

Using the Shisha Ban to extend a broader discussion on both place-making and surveillance with artists/organizers in Toronto and Chicago, through HABIBIZ, a group exhibit we are offered the space to archive complicated histories and futures of Black, Indigenous, and racialized life in the city.
